Crafting the next wave of innovation.

Learning is at an inflection point as big data and the Internet provide yet untested avenues to engage individuals in lifelong personal learning journeys. Energy in this space is growing as existing organizations pivot or augment business models to seize new prospects afforded by technology.

To these boards and advisories, Catherine contributes her leadership skills, operational knowledge and strategic innovation expertise bringing her experience innovating new models of knowledge diffusion. For two decades, she has sat around the table, across the globe, with futurists, innovators, academics, philanthropists and entrepreneurs discussing the risks and benefits of new models for learning, and how to ensure sustainability. During her tenure at the Hewlett Foundation she managed a 100M portfolio of investments, incentivized traditional organizations to test new models, and launched ventures dedicated to this then nascent space. Philanthropic investments test innovations that fill the gap between a too risky investment for the market, and the government not nimble enough to innovate quickly.

Catherine seeks to bring her expertise to boards of companies who have the interest, skills and velocity of development to positively impact the learning sector.
